Overseasidol.com — Concerns over AI-related copyright and image rights abuse have surged after Luo Yunxi’s studio released an official statement on January 26, addressing a controversial online short drama accused of unauthorized image usage.

The studio confirmed it has initiated legal action regarding the short drama Yong An Gui: Emperor’s Pursuit, which allegedly used AI technology to replicate Luo Yunxi’s likeness without consent.

According to the statement, the production is suspected of digitally synthesizing Luo Yunxi’s facial features into the male lead character through artificial intelligence, then publicly distributing the content across online drama platforms.

The studio stressed that no authorization was ever granted, making the act a clear violation of the actor’s portrait and personality rights.

The issue quickly ignited online debate after viewers noticed striking similarities between the drama’s protagonist and Luo Yunxi’s iconic role as Tantai Jin in Till The End of The Moon.

Visual elements such as facial structure, styling, and signature expressions appeared nearly identical.

Some netizens even conducted AI-assisted image comparisons, further reinforcing suspicions of unauthorized digital replication.

In response, Luo Yunxi’s studio confirmed that all alleged infringing materials have been formally notarized and preserved as legal evidence.

The management is currently engaging in serious negotiations with the relevant platforms, demanding an immediate halt to any ongoing infringement.

The case has sparked widespread discussion about the ethical and legal boundaries of AI usage within the entertainment industry.
