The Chinese fan involved in the incident during the International Novel Festival 2026 has released a detailed statement on her personal social media account following GMMTV’s latest announcement confirming that both parties had reached a settlement, withdrawn their legal complaints, and ended the dispute.
In her statement, she clarified that throughout her discussions with GMMTV and the police, she never requested any financial compensation or benefits related to fan rights.
She stressed that online rumors claiming she demanded compensation are false and urged the public to stop spreading misinformation.
She also shared her account of the incident, explaining that she believed she had been following the rules as she understood them at the venue.
According to her, the situation escalated because the event regulations were unclear and communication was difficult, as staff members mainly spoke Thai, making it challenging for international attendees to understand the instructions.
Regarding the female security staff member featured in the widely circulated videos, she said she never asked for any punishment against the staff member.
Although she believes the use of force exceeded what was necessary, she acknowledged that the security personnel were performing their duties to maintain order.
