Synopsis
The story follows Meng Tinghui (Wu Jinyan), a talented young woman from a humble background who dreams of changing her fate through the imperial examination.

Nice to see Wu Jinyan back again. Although in terms of looks, I hardly recognize her. In The Double, I could clearly tell, OK that is the actress who portrayed Wei Yingluo in Yanxi Palace, but now? She looks different somehow. Nose job? I mean, she surely still looks pretty and eye-catching, nothing to complain about, but somehow different. Or has age finally caught up with her, and is refusing to make her look as if she was 17 forever?
