Thai actor Offroad Kantapon has opened up about one of the most difficult chapters of his life before entering the entertainment industry.
During a recent television appearance, he revealed that there was a time when he barely had enough money to get through each day.
Offroad recalled standing in front of a fried chicken shop because he was short by only four or five baht.
Unable to afford the meal, he walked away. He also admitted that he often declined invitations from friends because he wanted to save every baht for more important expenses.
Eventually, one of his friends noticed his situation and lent him 2,000 baht.
On another occasion, his mobile phone broke, but he had no money to repair it.
When he contacted his mother, he discovered that his family was also facing financial hardship, leaving him overwhelmed with emotion.
Later, Offroad asked another friend for help. Without hesitation, the friend transferred 3,000 baht.
He repaid the loan little by little each month. When he finally tried to settle the debt in full, his friend sent the money back and encouraged him to keep it until his financial situation improved.
