Chinese singer-songwriter Curley Gao (Xilinnayi Gao) officially signed with Sony Music during a signing ceremony held on July 31, 2026.
At the event, Sony Music pledged to fully support her original music and help expand her career on the global stage.
Sony Music stated that in the AI era, artists with distinctive voices and strong songwriting abilities remain irreplaceable.
The company praised Curley Gao’s authentic creativity and unique musical style as key reasons for the partnership.
During the ceremony, Curley shared that when she graduated from high school, she dreamed of signing with Sony Music and studying at Berklee College of Music.
Nine years later, both dreams have come true. She said she hopes to use Sony Music’s worldwide network to bring Chinese-language music to a broader international audience.
The signing event featured a large signature board and a vinyl turntable launch ceremony.
Sony Music also revealed several upcoming projects, including Curley’s new studio album later this year, monthly single releases, and her first solo concert tour scheduled for the end of 2026.
