The highly anticipated Chinese mystery-adventure drama Mystic Nine has officially confirmed its release date.
The series will premiere on July 30, 2026, exclusively on Youku, marking one of the most anticipated Chinese drama releases of the year.
Produced by renowned novelist Nanpai Sanshu and directed by Bai Shan, Mystic Nine serves as an important chapter connecting the worlds of The Mystic Nine and The Lost Tomb franchise.
One of the biggest highlights is the return of William Chan as Zhang Qishan, a role he reprises nearly ten years after the original series.
Joining him are Chen Yao as Huo Xiangu and Joseph Zeng as Wu Laogou, the grandfather of Wu Xie, adding another connection to the broader tomb-raiding universe.
Set in Changsha in 1935, the story begins after an entire military unit mysteriously disappears during a mission in western Hunan.
The investigation leads Zhang Qishan and the Nine Gates families to the mysterious Geshi Tower, where hidden secrets, ancient treasures, and dangerous conspiracies await.
