Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor and racing driver Elvis Han Dongjun recently appeared on the latest episode of Sohu Video’s Star Colleague.
During the interview, he discussed his role as Luo Wenqian in the drama The Heir and shared behind-the-scenes stories about working with actress Yang Zi.
Speaking about his character, Elvis explained that Luo Wenqian’s devotion to his family and family legacy serves as the character’s greatest source of strength.
He described these values as the emotional armor that guides the character throughout his journey.
The conversation soon shifted to his collaboration with Yang Zi.
The two stars previously worked together during a Beijing Spring Festival Gala performance in 2019, and Han revealed that their chemistry came naturally when they reunited for the drama project.
Elvis praised Yang Zi for her cheerful personality, kindness, and ability to care for everyone around her.
He described her as the “mood maker” on set, adding that her professionalism and dedication to acting made working together both enjoyable and productive.
According to Han, many memorable scenes and fan-favorite moments in the drama were actually born from spontaneous improvisation.
Their natural interactions and creative exchanges during filming helped create some of the production’s most talked-about highlights.
When asked about the possibility of collaborating with Yang Zi again, Elvis Han expressed interest in exploring different genres.
Rather than focusing on urban romance stories, he said he would love to participate in realistic projects set in rural villages or mountainous regions.
