One and a half years after the passing of Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, discussions surrounding her estate, properties, and the future of her two children continue to attract public attention.

A recent Taiwanese media report claims that Barbie Hsu had planned to relocate to South Korea with her husband, Koo Jun-yup, and her children before her death.

According to the report, the couple had already begun preparing for their new life by researching schools for the children and organizing their financial plans for the move.

The report also states that Barbie Hsu’s daughter was interested in Korean culture and was open to living in South Korea.

The couple had reportedly started looking into suitable schools before the relocation plans came to a halt.

However, the move was said to have faced opposition from Barbie Hsu’s mother, Huang Chunmei, who reportedly objected to her daughter taking the children overseas.

The disagreement allegedly led to tensions between mother and daughter, particularly regarding financial arrangements.

The report further claims that Barbie Hsu intended to use part of her assets to support her new life in South Korea. She was also reportedly planning to transfer ownership of a luxury home occupied by her mother, but the process was never completed before her unexpected passing during a trip to Japan.

Taiwanese media additionally reported that Wang Xiaofei’s legal team had been informed of the relocation plans through lawyers.

There were also claims involving funds allegedly transferred to South Korea in connection with Koo Jun-yup’s business ventures.

Matters involving overseas assets and inheritance remain unresolved due to the complexity of the legal process. (Overseasidol.com)
