Fuo BY2 has released an official statement regarding the recent incident in which unknown individuals attempted to enter their apartment by using the door access keypad on two consecutive days.
The statement, published on July 30, explained the investigation results and the corrective measures taken by the property’s management.
According to BY2, the person who entered the access code on July 24 was a property maintenance engineer assigned to repair a drainage issue that had previously been reported.
However, the repair was carried out without first obtaining the residents’ permission or confirming whether anyone was at home.
The second incident, which occurred on July 25, involved a stainless steel construction worker working with the residential complex.
BY2 stated that the individual attempted to access their apartment without authorization, prior notice, or the residents’ consent, describing the action as a violation of proper procedures.
Following the investigation, the property management introduced several corrective measures.
The company confirmed that the staff involved would no longer enter the residential area, all incidents had been officially recorded, and future maintenance work would only be arranged after receiving the resident’s approval and confirming their presence at home.
BY2 said they decided to share their experience to raise public awareness rather than create fear.
They encouraged people, especially those living alone, to regularly update temporary smart lock passwords, preserve surveillance footage as evidence, and make use of legal or official complaint channels if similar situations occur. (Overseasidol.com)
