The upcoming Chinese animated film To Your Island has released a special behind-the-scenes voice acting feature while officially introducing its main voice cast ahead of its theatrical debut.
Chinese influencer Xia Tian Meimei will voice the female lead, Wang Jiexiang.
Although this marks her first voice acting role, she has been praised for capturing the character’s warmth and emotional depth.
The male lead, Yin Xian, is voiced by Zhang Fuzheng, who carefully developed the character’s contrasting personality of appearing calm on the outside while carrying deep emotions within.
Veteran voice actress Liu Xiaoyu serves as the film’s voice director and shared that the cast’s performances often moved her during recording sessions.
Based on the novel of the same name by Fan Dawang, To Your Island is directed by Zhou Haoran and written by Mei Qiongyu and Fan Dawang.
The animated film is scheduled to premiere in Chinese theaters on August 19, coinciding with the Qixi Festival. (Overseasidol.com)
