Overseasidol.com —On July 4, production company Wajijiwa officially announced the permanent removal of the short drama “Hidden Love For You” from all streaming platforms.
The announcement came as a result of a joint statement by Wajijiwa Entertainment, Jinjiang Literature City (the original novel publisher), and the author of the original work, Zhu Yi.
After thorough discussions, all three parties reached a mutual agreement on the issue.
Wah Ji Ji Wah issued a sincere apology to author Zhu Yi, Jinjiang Literature City, and all readers and viewers for the oversights that occurred during the film adaptation process.
The company emphasized its commitment to strengthening internal management and honoring future contracts with greater responsibility.
To show respect for the original work and its creator, the short drama has been officially removed as of July 3, 2025.
Wajijiwa also affirmed its dedication to producing high-quality content and promoting a thriving and respectful cultural industry moving forward.
Previously, the novel publisher Jinjiang Literature City expressed strong objections to the latest adaptation of the drama “Hidden Love” which aired in 2023.
They stated that Wajijiwa did not have the right to re-adapt the work.
Jinjiang Literature City is the legal owner who has the right to make a drama from the novel.
