The Chinese sci-fi film The Decisive Moment has officially announced that its theatrical release has been postponed.
In a statement shared on the film’s official social media account, the production team said the decision was made after careful consideration.
According to the statement, The Decisive Moment is a science fiction film inspired by China’s space program and serves as a tribute to generations of aerospace pioneers.
The story explores themes of deep-space exploration, difficult choices, and hope that transcends time and space.
The filmmakers said they had long imagined the day the movie would meet audiences in theaters.
However, after reviewing the current situation, they concluded that the film deserves to be released at a more appropriate time. A new release date has not yet been announced.
The film originally premiered on July 25 and stars Huang Bo, Wu Lei, Gao Ye, and Sun Yang.
Before the postponement announcement, The Decisive Moment had earned nearly 60 million yuan at the box office and received a 7.5 rating on Douban. (Overseasidol.com)
