They also urged users who shared misleading screenshots to delete them promptly.
The netizen had earlier claimed that staff under Zeng Li were reselling fan-given items, such as badges, on second-hand platforms.
In the apology, the individual admitted to publishing those statements without verifying the full facts, which significantly harmed Zeng Li’s reputation.
They later received a call from the police on March 27 and learned that Zeng Li had no knowledge of or involvement in the alleged resale.
Although the original post was deleted, screenshots had already circulated widely, causing damage.
The fan once again apologized and appealed to promotional accounts and users to refrain from spreading misinformation.
