Overseasidol.com — Thai actor Film Thanapat recently opened up about his personal journey through fame, revealing how sudden success once led him to become overly confident and resistant to others’ opinions.
Film rose to national fame through the hit drama Mia 2018, which skyrocketed his popularity across Thailand.
However, behind the success, he admitted that the rapid rise deeply affected his mindset.
Before achieving fame, Film faced numerous struggles, including failing more than 30 auditions.
At one point, he even considered becoming a flight attendant to support himself. His life changed dramatically after the drama aired, as his social media following surged into the millions and job offers flooded in.
With success came a drastic lifestyle shift. Film found himself surrounded by multiple staff members and constant work opportunities.
This environment gradually made him believe that his opinions were always right, causing him to ignore advice from others.
He described that period as a time when everything happened too quickly for him to process.
The overwhelming attention and validation made him feel untouchable, as if he was “floating” wherever he went.
At the peak of his career, Film Thanapat could attend up to five events in a single day, earning significant income in a short time.
However, as new talents emerged in the entertainment industry, his popularity began to decline.
This shift became a wake-up call, helping him realize that fame is never permanent.
The COVID-19 pandemic marked a turning point in his life. With work coming to a halt, Film spent long periods at home, struggling emotionally and gaining weight due to unhealthy eating habits.
Despite this, he admitted that his ego still prevented him from accepting criticism at the time.
Over the years, he gradually rebuilt himself. Now at the age of 30, he says he has become more emotionally mature and open-minded.
He has learned to listen to others, understand life more deeply, and appreciate personal growth.
