Overseasidol.com — Chinese actor Huang Xiaoming has revealed that he has not taken on any acting projects this year, choosing instead to wait for roles and scripts that truly resonate with him.
In an interview reported by Hong Kong media on March 26, he explained that his mindset toward work has evolved over time.
Unlike in his twenties, when he felt the need to stay constantly busy, he now prefers to pause rather than accept unsuitable opportunities.
Beyond his entertainment career, Huang Xiaoming also spoke about his academic ambitions.
He shared that he did not pass a doctoral entrance examination last year but remains determined to succeed in the future.
Achieving a PhD, he said, would make him the first person in his family to earn such a title, which continues to motivate him.
He also highlighted his fitness routine, mentioning that he often works out with fellow celebrities including Johnny Huang, Dylan Wang, Liu Yaowen, and Huang Zitao.
