Overseasidol.com — On April 22, the sister of rising Chinese actor Ke Chun addressed the recent online backlash regarding his female assistant, who was seen holding his arm during a public appearance.
The scene stirred online debates, but his sister clarified during a livestream that the assistant was merely fulfilling her professional duties.
She explained that Ke Chun had originally intended to hire a male assistant and had even sought help from her to find one.
However, the plan fell through because the male candidate requested a fee that was deemed too high.
“You can’t just say a female assistant is inconvenient, that’s only your perception. In fact, female assistants often have strengths like being more detail-oriented than their male counterparts,” she noted.
Ko Chun, born on October 28, 2000, in Yueyang, Hunan Province, China, rose to fame in March following his appearance on a variety show.
Since then, his popularity has skyrocketed, earning him a growing fanbase and recognition in the entertainment industry.
