Chinese actress Li Xiaolu has publicly revealed the actual date of her divorce from former husband Jia Nailiang for the first time.
She shared that the legal divorce was finalized on March 14, 2018, while the news was not officially announced until 2019.
Li Xiaolu explained that the decision to keep the divorce private was made to protect their daughter, Tianxin.
She said she did not want her child to become the focus of public attention or suffer because of her parents’ personal matters.
She also addressed the long-discussed “hair salon” controversy that attracted widespread public attention years ago.
Li Xiaolu said the incident was “not what many people believed,”.
She chose not to respond publicly at the time because she wanted her daughter to have a peaceful childhood without carrying the burden of media speculation.
Although they are no longer married, Li Xiaolu said she and Jia Nailiang continue to communicate about their daughter’s upbringing and education.
