Overseasidol.com — Filipino idol group MNL48 has officially released the 2026 version of “Pag-ibig Fortune Cookie” on May 20, marking it as their final project before concluding group activities.
In an official statement, the management confirmed that the music video, which premiered on YouTube, will serve as MNL48’s last work as a group.
The song is a remake of their popular single originally released on December 1, 2018, now reintroduced with updated production and a refreshed concept.
The remake was initially planned for release in 2025.
However, due to extended production processes, including costume preparation and recording, the release was postponed to ensure the best possible quality.
The music video was filmed at Enchanted Kingdom in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.
The vibrant amusement park setting adds a lively and colorful atmosphere that matches the upbeat tone of the song.
For this special version, the senbatsu members were selected by fans.
The lineup includes Sarina, Renee, Rianna, Dana, Jamie, Elys, Rhed, Miyaka, Wida, Line, Klaryle, Rachel, Rhea, Mirai, Cole, and Max, making the project even more meaningful for supporters.
This release serves not only as a nostalgic callback but also as a heartfelt farewell.
