Overseasidol.com — Jeno and Jaemin of NCT have officially been confirmed as the lead actors in the upcoming short-form drama “Wind Up”.
The project marks the debut production of KITZ, a new global short-video platform scheduled to launch on January 16.
Produced through a collaboration between SM Entertainment and Take One Company, Wind Up is directed by Kim Sung Ho, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Netflix’s Move to Heaven, raising expectations for a strong emotional narrative and high production quality.
The story follows Woo Jin (played by Jeno), a talented high school baseball pitcher whose future is thrown into uncertainty after he loses his confidence and ability to throw strikes.
At his lowest point, he meets Tae Hee (portrayed by Jaemin), a transfer student who unexpectedly decides to become his manager.
Described as a story about “a bright and pure friendship,” Wind Up explores a mutual healing relationship between two young men searching for their place in the world.
While officially categorized as a bromance and coming-of-age drama, the casting and emotional depth suggest a dynamic that is already drawing strong interest from BL fans.
The KITZ platform will launch globally at 10:00 AM KST, with Wind Up becoming available to stream at 6:00 PM KST on the same day.
As of now, there has been no official confirmation regarding English subtitles or international distribution beyond KITZ.
