Thai boy group PERSES member Jung Wikorn has issued a public apology after his solo promotional photo sparked online discussion over its resemblance to an Instagram photo posted by TXT’s Yeonjun.
In his official statement, Jung said he learned about the controversy at the same time as the public.
By then, the promotional materials had already been released, making it impossible to revise them immediately.
Jung emphasized that he respects the work of fellow artists and creators and insisted that he never intended to copy or imitate anyone’s creative work.
He admitted that the issue resulted from his lack of careful review after receiving the final concept for the project, taking responsibility for not examining it more thoroughly before its release.
The singer also addressed speculation surrounding his upcoming music video teaser.
He clarified that the teaser and its production team did not use any of Yeonjun’s work as reference material and are unrelated to the promotional photo controversy.
Concluding his statement, Jung apologized to Golf F.Hero, the production team, all staff members, and PERSES fans known as Pieces. (Overseasidol.com)
