Overseasidol.com — Thai environmental activist Psi Scott has once again drawn public attention after giving an extensive media interview addressing the ongoing controversy surrounding his family, legal disputes, and personal trauma.
During the interview, Psi openly discussed the family conflict involving his brother Pi Scott, the ongoing land lawsuit, previously released audio recordings, and the possibility of pursuing legal action in the future.
Compared to his earlier public statements, Psi appeared noticeably more determined this time.
He also officially announced that he plans to change his surname to “Samut”, cutting ties with the Scott family name entirely.
Psi explained that every time he has spoken publicly in recent weeks, it has been part of his journey to reclaim himself after years of emotional pain.
He emphasized that his goal is not to create public drama, but to seek justice and ensure that society does not dismiss such issues as insignificant family matters.
According to Psi, if a child feels forced to seek help outside the family, it means the family has already failed to provide protection and safety.
Speaking about the ongoing land dispute involving his mother, Psi stated that compared to losing twenty years of his life emotionally, property and land are relatively minor issues.
What hurts the most, he said, is losing his childhood, happiness, and the love that should have come from family.
Psi also revealed that over the past three to four years, he had repeatedly sought help from senior family members, including an influential relative named Todd.
However, he claimed that the responses he received mostly focused on protecting the family image and encouraging him to apologize to his mother.
This made him feel that some people valued reputation, business interests, and property more than the well-being of a traumatized child.
When discussing his mother, Psi admitted that he still struggles to understand why he never felt loved by her.
He also described one of the most painful moments of his life, claiming that a nanny who had allegedly abused him in the past was later brought back into the family home.
Psi said the experience made him feel abandoned and hurt all over again.
Regarding the Hua Hin land lawsuit, Psi revealed that he has already attended one court hearing, while his mother’s side reportedly did not appear.
The next hearing is expected to take place on June 10. He also mentioned that his brother has been listed as a witness in the case.
Addressing the leaked recordings, Psi clarified that the four-minute clip released publicly is only part of a much longer 20-minute recording.
He added that he has not yet decided whether he will release more evidence, as he still needs to consider his own emotional condition.
When asked about possible legal action against his brother, Psi responded that “everything is possible”.
He also strongly stated that someone accused of causing harm should not continue to be around children.
Toward the end of the interview, Psi officially confirmed his decision to adopt the surname “Samut”.
He explained that he no longer wants to be associated with the Scott name because he never truly viewed his father as a real father figure.
According to Psi, the name “Psi Samut” better represents the identity and future he wants moving forward.
