Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group SKE48 has officially announced their 35th single titled “Karma”, set to be released on September 24, 2025.
This upcoming single brings major changes that have stirred excitement among fans.
For the first time in recent years, SKE48 will no longer use a 12-member Senbatsu formation.
Instead, they return to the classic 16-member lineup, a format last seen in the 2018 single “Ikinari Punch Line.”
Another highlight is the return of the Double Center (WCenter) system.
Kumazaki Haruka from Team S and Sato Kaho from Team KII have been selected to lead the single.
This marks the first WCenter appearance since “Coquettish Juutai Chuu” released in 2015.
The official Senbatsu lineup for “Karma” includes:
- Team S: Aikawa Honoka, Ito Kokomi, Kumazaki Haruka, Sakamoto Marin, Nomura Miyo
- Team KII: Ito Miki, Inoue Ruka, Sato Kaho
- Team E: Aoki Rika, Asai Yuka, Ota Ayaka, Omura Anzu, Kawamura Yua, Nakasaka Miyu, Nishii Mio, Morimoto Kurumi
“Karma” will also be the first single following the 2025 Team Shuffle, marking a new chapter in SKE48’s journey.
With a refreshed concept and dynamic lineup, “Karma” is expected to energize the group’s future and bring fresh momentum to the J-pop scene.
