Spider-Man: Brand New Day has enjoyed a strong start at the Chinese box office.
After three days of release, including midnight preview screenings, the film has earned 480 million yuan.
The impressive performance has allowed the movie to surpass Minions & the Big Monster, making it the highest-grossing imported film in China in 2026.
It currently ranks ninth on the country’s annual box office chart.
Based on its current momentum, Lighthouse Professional Edition projects the film’s final box office to exceed 1.5 billion yuan, while Maoyan Professional Edition estimates it could finish with more than 1.6 billion yuan.
If those projections are achieved, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to break into the top five highest-grossing films of the year in China, trailing only Pegasus 3, Kung Fu Soccer, and Dear You.
