Overseasidol.com — The upcoming action-comedy drama “Oretachi Bad Barbers” is set to air on TV Tokyo and other networks starting January 2026.
The series is directed by Yugo Sakamoto, best known for the hit Baby Walküre films.
The story takes place in a rural town where the Tsukishiro Barber Shop quietly operates.
Its owner, Tsukishiro Tsukasa, hides a secret identity as a “Riyoushi”, a fixer who resolves underground troubles with force.
His life changes when he starts living with Higurashi Ayumu, a former hairdresser with no savings or home but a warm personality.
Despite constant quarrels, the two join forces to take on risky requests.
The drama stars Ayumu Nakajima as Ayumu and Takuya Kusakawa (from Choutokkyuu) as Tsukasa.
This marks Nakajima’s first leading role in a TV drama. For Kusakawa, it is his second collaboration with Sakamoto following Baby Walküre Everyday! in 2024.
Directing alongside Sakamoto are Wataru Hiranami and Koichi Izumihara, with the script co-written by Sakamoto and Ono Masayuki (Ino Masayuki).
Action choreography is handled by Rio, who previously worked on The Killer Life of Happy Kanako.
The first teaser has been released on YouTube (Japan only), featuring comments from Nakajima, Kusakawa, Sakamoto, and producer Mina Kase of TV Tokyo.
