Chinese group Ten Diligent Ones has become the center of online discussion after the promotional campaign for their new song “Breaking Dawn”.
The group was accused of resembling the signature style of former boy group R1SE.
The debate started when fans noticed similarities in several promotional elements, including the color palette, poster composition, and overall concept.
Many believed the campaign closely reflected R1SE’s well-known visual identity.
One of the biggest talking points is the song title “Breaking Dawn”.
Fans pointed out that R1SE has long been associated with its signature fan color known as “Dawn Color” since the group’s debut in 2019.
The promotional artwork featuring ten members standing against a sunrise backdrop has also drawn comparisons to several of R1SE’s iconic promotional images.
In addition, the phrase “rise up” appearing in the lyrics has fueled further discussion because of its resemblance to the former group’s name and branding.
Some online users also argued that the stage formation and member positioning appeared similar to performances previously associated with R1SE.
Despite the controversy, there has been no legal ruling indicating that the promotional materials constitute copyright infringement.
