Hong Kong entertainment giant TVB officially announced its corporate rebranding on July 24, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the company.
Its Chinese corporate name has been changed to Wuxian Jituan Limited, while its English name is now officially TVB Limited.
The launch ceremony was attended by Executive Chairman Xu Tao, General Manager (Commercial Operations) Siu Sai Wo, along with more than 100 executives, artists, and staff members.
The event symbolized the company’s commitment to evolving with the changing entertainment industry.
Veteran actress Liza Wang joined many of TVB’s actors and actresses at the ceremony.
They expressed excitement about the company’s future direction, which focuses on expanding cross-media entertainment, digital content, and the Greater Bay Area market.
Liza Wang said the name change reflects TVB’s determination to embrace transformation while maintaining its core strength in producing high-quality content.
She also believes the company’s expansion into the Greater Bay Area will create new business opportunities and broaden TVB’s influence across the Chinese-speaking entertainment market.
Actors Shaun Tam and Alice Chan also welcomed the company’s new strategy.
They believe TVB’s growing multimedia platform will help their productions reach more international audiences while strengthening connections with fans through digital channels. (Overseasidol.com)
