The footage, taken under dim lighting with purple neon tones, shows the actor casually talking and socializing in what appears to be a relaxed environment.
The video quickly went viral, prompting criticism from some netizens who speculated that Wang Xingyue was behaving inappropriately for a public figure, particularly due to the perceived intimacy of the interactions.
In response, on September 10, Wang Xingyue’s official global fan support club issued a statement clarifying the situation.
They explained that the video was taken during Wang’s personal vacation time while he was gathering with family and friends.
According to the fan club, all interactions in the footage were within normal social boundaries and should not be misinterpreted.
“After confirming with the team, the viral video was filmed during the artist’s break while he was spending time with family and friends.
Every angle captured in the footage shows normal social interaction with appropriate distance.
Unfortunately, the clip was secretly filmed, then edited and misrepresented to intentionally mislead public perception,” the statement read.
