Overseasidol.com — On May 5, Chinese idol Wang Yi, a member of SNH48, publicly announced via social media her decision to leave the group.

She will terminate her contract with te agency, SIBA Media and pursue legal action against the company.

In an emotional and deeply personal post, she revealed years of accumulated mental and physical strain stemming from family tragedy, unequal treatment within the company, and relentless work pressure.

These factors, she said, have led to a serious mental health crisis, diagnosed as psychosomatic illness, with symptoms such as hand tremors, hyperventilation, and severe eating difficulties.

Wang Yi traced her decline back to 2021, following the sudden death of a family member.

Despite reaching career milestones within SNH48, she felt neglected and overworked, often enduring grueling schedules without meaningful support or recognition.

The psychological toll intensified to the point where she could no longer maintain normal daily functions, leading her to the conclusion that remaining in the current environment could threaten her life.

Declaring that this is not a temporary break but a definitive departure, she expressed both sorrow and hope, apologizing to fans and thanking them for years of support.

She vowed to fight for a healthier future, physically, mentally, and professionally.
