Overseasidol.com — On September 12, actor Wei Xiang shared behind-the-scenes stories of working with Jackie Chan during the filming of “Panda Plan” at the 2nd Golden Panda Awards.
Nominated for Best Supporting Actor in the movie, Wei spoke with deep respect when mentioning Jackie Chan, saying, “Jackie is someone who treats the film set like his own home.”
Wei revealed that regardless of the call time, whether at noon or late at night, Jackie Chan always arrived early.
He recalled a moment that left a strong impression, “Jackie is over 70 now, but he still performs wire stunts for more than two hours. After coming down, he fainted right in front of me. The staff asked if he needed to go to the hospital, but his team said it’s common for him. He just rests for a while and gets back up,”.
When asked if he felt more sympathy or admiration for Jackie, Wei responded, “I think it’s more about respect,”.
He also shared that outside of filming, Jackie often encouraged the cast and crew to pick up trash together.
Wei added with a smile, “The suit I wore during filming was full of tissues Jackie used to wipe his sweat,”.
