Chinese actor Zhang Xincheng (Steven Zhang) has become the latest celebrity to speak out against invasive fan behavior.
On July 16, his studio released an official statement condemning a series of stalking incidents and privacy violations involving obsessive fans.
According to the statement, Zhang has recently faced repeated harassment, including being followed at airports, tailed by vehicles, stalked during his private activities, surrounded at hotels, and photographed at extremely close range without consent.
The studio confirmed that it has collected evidence of these incidents and is prepared to pursue legal action.
The statement also condemned the illegal sale and distribution of the actor’s private information, including travel schedules and personal identification details.
Fans were urged not to purchase, share, or circulate any unauthorized content or confidential information related to the actor.
The studio emphasized that Zhang Xincheng sincerely appreciates the support of respectful and rational fans and values every opportunity to meet them.
