AKB48 has officially revealed the jacket photos and full tracklist for its 68th single, “Sukiish” scheduled for release on August 19, 2026.
The upcoming single features several new songs and highlights the group’s younger generation of members.
The title track “Sukiish” once again features Ito Momoka as the center.
The 19th-generation member becomes the first AKB48 member in around 12 years to serve as center for two consecutive singles.
All editions will include “Suppa Sugiru Lemonade,” performed by the U-19 Senbatsu.
The song marks the first center position for Morikawa Yu, a member of the 21st generation.
The Type A edition includes “Cookie Kiss”, the first original song by the band’s unit School Bag Project.
Meanwhile, Type B features “Kimi no Doodle”, performed by the three 20th-generation trainees.
The lyrics were written by former AKB48 General Manager Mukaichi Mion, making her songwriting debut. Oga Saki serves as the song’s center.
The Type C edition contains “Uzu no Makikata”, performed by the Under Girls, with Narita Kohina taking the center position for the first time.
The Regular Edition and Official Shop Edition include “Aitakatta 2026”, a live-band remake of AKB48’s iconic debut song.
The refreshed version is performed by 16 younger members and centers on Sato Airi. (Overseasidol.com)
