GMMTV CEO P’Tha has revealed the surprising story behind the success of Polcasan, one of the company’s most beloved mascot projects.

According to him, everything started with an unexpected moment involving actor Tay Tawan.

During a recent interview, P’Tha explained that mascots traditionally follow a common rule around the world, they are not supposed to speak.

Polcasan was originally created under the same concept. Things changed when Tay Tawan interacted with the mascot.

During the spontaneous exchange, Polcasan began “talking,” creating a fun and charming moment that was never part of the original plan.

P’Tha said the production team immediately noticed how entertaining the interaction was.

They believed that if they found the mascot lovable and adorable, audiences would likely feel the same way.

Recognizing its potential, GMMTV quickly shifted resources behind the scenes.

A team previously assigned to underperforming programs was reassigned to focus entirely on developing the Polcasan project. (Overseasidol.com)
