Speaking candidly, Yang Mi pushed back against societal pressures that often impose unrealistic expectations on mothers.
“We constantly assign excessive responsibilities to mothers, as if they have to juggle everything flawlessly,” Yang Mi remarked.
“But the truth is, achieving a perfect balance is almost impossible,” she said.
She emphasized that everyone has their own version of what “perfect” looks like, and striving to meet others’ standards can be emotionally taxing.
“A thousand people will have a thousand ideas of perfection,” she said. “Admitting you’re not perfect doesn’t take courage it’s simply normal.
We shouldn’t place so much pressure on ourselves. Parenting is a learning process, a journey of growing together with your child in both body and mind,” she explained.
Yang Mi also shared endearing moments from her life with her daughter, affectionately known as Xiao Nuomi.
She revealed that Nuomi is passionate about drawing, and they often discuss art themes and even dream about a future where she might become a painter.
