Overseasidol.com — The Chinese drama “In the Name of Justice” aired its final episode on the night of July 9, only to be met with mixed reviews and widespread backlash.
Viewers criticized the show’s finale as underwhelming, with many calling it a “disappointing ending” that undermined the drama’s earlier momentum.
In response, the show’s director Fu Dongyu took to social media to address the feedback.
He acknowledged the flaws and said he is actively reflecting on them.
“All the praise and criticism, I’ve heard it. I’m in the process of reviewing it all.
For example, a slow start, dragged-out scenes, and casting misjudgments, all of it is being examined,” Fu wrote.
He expressed gratitude to his cast and crew, calling the project a result of three years of hard work and dedication.
He bid farewell to the show and hinted at his return in a new project.
“Thank you for your support, tolerance, and guidance. Let’s meet again in my next work,” he concluded.
While the drama had previously earned attention for its serious legal themes and suspenseful plot, the final episode has sparked heated discussions online.
The Chinese crime drama “In The Name of Justice” stars Zhang Yi, Li Guangjie, and Jiang Xin.
