Overseasidol.com — Taiwanese actor Greg Hsu has finally addressed the dating rumors linking him to Chou Tzuyu of TWICE, which recently went viral and stirred strong reactions among fans.
The speculation began after Tzuyu’s mother shared backstage photos from TWICE’s concert at Taipei Dome on Instagram.
One of the images showed her posing with Greg Hsu. What appeared to be a casual photo was later exaggerated by some netizens, who claimed it indicated that the actor had already “met the parents”.
Speaking publicly at a sports brand store opening event on April 16, Greg dismissed the rumors with a smile, urging people not to believe everything they see online.
“Don’t just blindly believe everything you read online, that’s just how the internet is these days!,” he said.
He described the situation as a common example of how misinformation can spread quickly on the internet.
He clarified that he attended the concert at the invitation of Tzuyu’s agency, JYP Entertainment.
The photo with her mother, he explained, happened naturally as she is a fan of his, and they simply took a picture together.
Xu Guanghan further stated that he only briefly greeted Tzuyu backstage and does not have any personal relationship with her.
His statement effectively shut down the dating rumors that had been circulating.
