Overseasidol.com — Actress Joe Chen, who married Malaysian businessman Alan Zeng Weichang in 2022, recently revealed details of a quarrel during the variety show “Our Love Song”.
Although their marriage has been filled with happiness, she admitted that arguments do happen.
At one point, Joe blurted out the words, “Then let’s divorce,”. Alan’s reaction was far more serious than she expected.
He firmly warned her, “If you mention divorce again, we will really go through with it,”.
After saying that, he turned away in tears. Alan explained that their marriage was built through effort and should not be shaken by words spoken in anger.
Seeing his tears deeply touched Joe Chen. She admitted, “That really worked on me. I will never dare mention divorce again,”.
The couple has since made a promise that no matter how heated an argument gets, they will not use the word divorce.
Instead, they agreed to resolve conflicts through communication and mutual understanding.
