Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group NMB48 revealed a major organizational change during their summer show “NMB48 Tenshi no Utopia Kouen 2025 with BAND” held in Osaka on July 24, 2025.
The group announced that its current three-team structure (Team N, Team M, Team BII) will be dissolved in early October 2025.
The concert stood out as it featured 17 full songs performed with a live band, from the opener “OUR STORY” to the encore “Eien no Melody”.
This marks the first time NMB48 has delivered an entire setlist with a live band, creating a richer and more dynamic musical experience for fans.
After the performance, theater manager Kaneko Tsuyoshi appeared on stage alongside all members to announce the changes.
The current team stagesm Team N’s “N Ship,” Team M’s “M no Sign,” and Team BII’s “Boku no Aoharu” will end in October.
They will be replaced with three new stages, “A,” “B,” and the special stage “Koko ni Datte Tenshi wa Iru”, each with a 16-member lineup.
With Group Captain Kojima Karin’s graduation, management will accept applications for a new captain from August 1 to August 30.
The candidates will be announced after the August 31 concert, and the voting will take place on October 9, 2025.
NMB48 also revealed its upcoming milestone concerts. The 15th Anniversary Live will be held at Orix Theater on November 8, 2025.
Kojima Karin’s graduation concert will take place the next day on November 9, followed by Kawakami Chihiro’s graduation on December 23 and a Christmas Party on December 24, 2025.
Kojima Karin encouraged fans to continue their support, saying, “As we celebrate 15 years, NMB48 is entering a new chapter.
Please keep looking forward to what’s next.” The summer show continues on July 25, with Yamamoto Mikana’s graduation concert scheduled for July 26, 2025.
