Hong Kong actor and singer Nicholas Tse has confirmed the passing of his father, legendary actor Patrick Tse, through an emotional statement shared on July 20.
In his message, Nicholas paid tribute to his father’s lifelong dedication to the entertainment industry.
Nicholas wrote that Patrick Tse devoted his entire life to film and television, always striving to bring joy and smiles to audiences.
Although he experienced difficult moments throughout his life, he consistently appeared on screen with professionalism and grace.
He also recalled one of his father’s favorite sayings, “The show must go on,”.
Nicholas encouraged fans not to mourn with excessive sadness, saying Patrick would rather be remembered as the charismatic man who always wore a smile and inspired countless people through his work.
Earlier, Hong Kong media reported that Patrick Tse had passed away at the age of 89.
Nicholas, who had been preparing for his upcoming concerts in mainland China on July 25 and 26, reportedly returned to Hong Kong to handle the funeral arrangements.
According to reports, the family will hold a private and low-key farewell ceremony in accordance with Patrick Tse’s wishes.
