Overseasidol.com — The hit survival show ‘PRODUCE 101 JAPAN’ is returning for its fourth season, officially titled ‘PRODUCE 101 JAPAN: Shinsekai (New World)’.
Organizers have announced that participant applications opened on July 17, 2025.
Unlike its previous editions, this season will focus on forming a new global boy group. Applications are open to aspiring idols worldwide, regardless of nationality or place of birth, with a few regional exceptions.
For the first time in the franchise, the show will feature global fan voting and worldwide streaming.
Additionally, the series will hold its first international audition in Los Angeles, USA, marking a significant milestone for the PRODUCE 101 JAPAN brand.
The format remains the same. A total of 101 trainees will compete through challenging missions, ranging from singing to dance performances.
The final debut lineup will be decided entirely by 100% public voting.
Since its launch in 2019, the franchise has produced three highly successful groups: JO1 from SEASON1, INI from SEASON2 (2021), and ME:I from SEASON3 (2023).
This new season is expected to create the next generation of global stars, expanding PRODUCE 101 JAPAN’s reach to a worldwide audience.
