Synopsis

Shen Xiao, a talented scholar from a humble family, devotes himself to the imperial examinations while searching for the truth behind his father’s death. His life changes after an unexpected encounter with Princess Zhaoyang, Li Shu, who later abandons him.

After becoming the top scholar in the imperial examination, Shen Xiao’s first official petition accuses Princess Zhaoyang of extravagance and misconduct. Their rivalry gradually turns into mutual respect as they work together against political conspiracies.

Along the way, they realize that true peace for individuals can only exist when the nation is stable and its people live in prosperity.
