Overseasidol.com — A 24-year-old medical student from Chongqing Medical University has gone viral after posting photos from her recent trip to Qinghai.
Her uncanny resemblance to Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu caught the attention of netizens, with many commenting that she looks like a parallel-universe version of the star.
The student launched her social media account on July 23. In just 11 days, she posted eight times and gained over 28,000 followers.
Several of her posts received thousands of likes, with one reaching over 100,000 likes.
On July 31, the young woman responded on social media, expressing gratitude for the support.
She said she’s just an ordinary student, and her photos were taken with her phone’s default camera no filters or heavy editing.
She acknowledged that some angles or moments might look similar to Barbie Hsu but emphasized that she never intended to imitate her.
“I really admire Barbie Hsu, but I won’t capitalize on her image,” she said.
She also stated she is happy with her appearance and has no intention of undergoing plastic surgery neither in the past nor the future.
