Overseasidol.com — A major controversy has emerged surrounding the supplement brand Youthit following an investigative report by Chinese state media.

The report revealed that the brand allegedly falsified its claimed Australian origin, with its so-called Melbourne factory reportedly being an auto repair shop, while the products were actually manufactured domestically.

The revelations quickly sparked widespread public concern, especially as “Youthit” had been one of the top-selling lutein supplement brands on major e-commerce platforms such as Douyin and Tmall.

Marketed as an imported product from Australia, its credibility has now come under serious scrutiny.

Following the exposure, the brand’s products have reportedly been removed from all major online marketplaces.

In response to the controversy, Chinese actor Zeng Shunxi, a former endorser of the brand, issued an official statement through his studio.

The statement clarified that the collaboration began in June 2024 and ended by the end of that year, with no further partnerships afterward.

The studio emphasized that due diligence was conducted within their capacity during the cooperation period.

However, they acknowledged the need for stronger monitoring of brand backgrounds and better public communication.

They also confirmed that legal professionals have been engaged to review all cooperation documents and verify the authenticity of materials provided by the brand.

Meanwhile, Chinese authorities have taken swift action. The National Food Safety Office, along with market regulators and customs authorities, has launched a comprehensive investigation into the case.

Officials stated their commitment to cracking down on illegal practices, safeguarding market order, and protecting consumer rights.
