Overseasidol.com — Idol group KLP48 has officially announced that four Japanese members will conclude their activities with the group and return to their original teams.

The announcement was made through an official management statement on January 31, 2026, marking the beginning of a new chapter for KLP48.

The members set to end their KLP48 activities are Cocoa (Kokoa Kai), Suzuha (Suzuha Yamane), Haruka (Haruka Kurosu), and Yurina (Yurina Gyoten).

Their final day as KLP48 members will be February 28, 2026. Afterward, Cocoa will resume her career with STU48, while Suzuha, Haruka, and Yurina will return to AKB48.

This transition comes shortly after KLP48 celebrated the opening of its dedicated theater in late December 2025.

With this milestone, the group is shifting its focus toward regular theater performances, which are considered a core element of activities within the AKB48 Group. Management described this moment as an important turning point as KLP48 moves into a more structured and sustainable artistic phase.

The four Japanese members have played a crucial role in building the foundation of KLP48 since its early days.

Since the group’s debut in August 2024, they have contributed both on stage and behind the scenes, helping guide early-generation members.

Their involvement significantly shaped the team’s discipline, spirit, and identity, which are now key characteristics of KLP48.

Management emphasized that this is not a farewell in the traditional sense, but rather a continuation of each member’s career journey within the wider AKB48 Group.

The experience they gained while promoting internationally with KLP48 is expected to become valuable capital as they move forward.

The announcement quickly drew attention from fans who have followed KLP48’s growth from the start.

Many expressed gratitude for Cocoa, Suzuha, Haruka, and Yurina’s dedication in helping establish the group’s presence on an international stage.
