Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group Nogizaka46 has officially launched their new song Saigo ni Kaidan wo Kake Agatta no wa Itsuda? on March 22, with the accompanying music video simultaneously released on YouTube.
The track serves as the title song of Nogizaka46’s upcoming 41st single, set for physical release on April 8.
The music video presents a visually striking concept in which the members move between a “fictional world” and the “real world” creating a dramatic contrast.
Dream-like scenes, eerie and decaying imaginary settings, and powerful dance performances against a sunrise backdrop highlight the members’ intense expressions and emotional delivery.
The MV was directed by Ikeda Kazuma, known for his work on some of the group’s signature videos, including Seifuku no Mannequin and Synchronicity.
This project marks their first collaboration since the release of Monopoly in 2023.
Notably, fifth-generation member Ikeda Teresa takes center position in a title track for the first time.
She highlighted the opening one-take scene featuring all members as a key highlight, noting that the combination of acting and choreography made it especially memorable.
This single has the longest title since Nogizaka46 debuted back in 2012.
