Overseasidol.com — Japanese idol group STU48 has officially revealed the title of their 12th single.
The main track is titled “Kizutsuku Koto ga Seishun da” which translates to “Getting Hurt is Youth”.
Alongside the announcement, the group unveiled the single’s cover art and new artist photos.
The song carries a strong and emotional message about the spirit of youth. Sayaka Takao, a second-generation member, has been chosen as the center for the first time.
This marks her ninth consecutive selection in the senbatsu lineup.
In the newly released visuals, members are seen dressed in soft pastel colors.
The shoot takes place in a sunlit room, creating a warm and serene atmosphere.
This artistic direction offers a refreshing contrast to STU48’s usual seaside and Setouchi nature-inspired image.
The song “Kizutsuku Koto ga Seishun da” will premiere live on RCC Radio’s “STU48 no Chirimen Party” program at 11:00 PM JST on July 18.
STU48 also announced a nationwide tour starting in August 2025, named after the single, which will coincide with its official release.
