Chinese actor Zhang Linghe participated in the 6th Cross-Strait Youth Culture Month, where he introduced his hometown, Jiangsu Province, to young people from Taiwan.

Through a special message, he invited them to experience the region’s rich cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes, delicious cuisine, and modern development.

Zhang described Jiangsu as a province with a remarkable history.

He highlighted its legacy from the Six Dynasties, the elegance of Kunqu Opera, and the cultural influence of the ancient Chu and Han civilizations, saying every corner of Jiangsu tells a unique story.

He also recommended several famous attractions, including Taihu Lake, Slender West Lake in Yangzhou, the Yellow Sea Wetlands, and the historic towns along the Grand Canal.

According to Zhang, these destinations perfectly combine natural beauty with cultural heritage.

The actor also praised Jiangsu’s local cuisine. He encouraged visitors to try regional specialties such as duck blood vermicelli soup, crab roe soup dumplings, braised pork ribs, Lion’s Head meatballs, hairy crabs, and local barbecue dishes.

Beyond its history and food, Zhang Linghe emphasized that today’s Jiangsu is also a center of innovation.
