Director Stephen Chow shared his admiration for actress Dilraba Dilmurat during the Kung Fu Soccer roadshow held in Hangzhou on July 14.
He praised her performance and highlighted her natural talent as an actress.
According to Stephen Chow, Dilraba brought a relaxed and authentic feeling to her character, Yulong.
He said that was the quality that impressed him the most throughout the filming process.
The filmmaker also revealed that Dilraba had limited time to train because of the tight production schedule.
Despite that challenge, she quickly adapted and performed her scenes with remarkable accuracy.
Stephen Chow added that Dilraba constantly surprised him with her performances.
Even when a scene was already excellent, he often asked for another take because he believed she could deliver something even more unique and memorable.
Kung Fu Soccer is written and directed by Stephen Chow.
The movie stars Zhang Xiaofei, Dilraba Dilmurat, and Zhang, with special appearances by Carina Lau and Takeru Satoh.
